Unilever targets 75% growth in emerging markets by 2020

Unilever, the maker of Lipton tea, has expected a 75% growth in emerging markets by 2020, despite increasing its prices in the second quarter to offset higher commodity costs, Gulf News has reported. The Anglo-Dutch multinational produces more than 400 different brands of household products and food-related item, including Lipton, Knorr, Dove, Lux, Ponds and Comfort in 150 countries. Muna Al Gurg, head of retail at Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, the distributor for the Unilever products in Dubai and the northern emirates, has said that the second largest contributor to Unilever's revenues are beverages.
