Value of Lebanon’s industrial exports reaches $1.54 billion in H1 2015

This represents declines of 2.6 per cent and 14.8 per cent compared with 2014 and 2013 respectively

The value of the Lebanese industrial exports during the first half of 2015 amounted to $1.54 billion compared with $1.581bn during the same period of 2014, shows a report.

The report issued by Lebanon’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce says that this represents a decline of 2.6 per cent compared with 2014 and by 14.8 per cent compared with $1.807bn in 2013, reports Lebanon Files.

The monthly average of exports during the first half of 2015 amounted to $256.7 million compared with $263.5m during the same period of 2014 and $301.2m during the same period of 2013.

On the other hand, the total value of imports of industrial machinery and equipment during the first half of 2015 amounted to $134.1m compared to $140m during the same period in 2014 and $166m during the same period of 2013, a decrease of 4.3 per cent compared with 2014 and 19.3 per cent compared with 2013.
