VIDEO: WEF Summit on the Global Agenda 2015 opens in Abu Dhabi

Experts to discuss world’s nine most pressing challenges

Experts from around the globe have come to Abu Dhabi as the World Economic Forum (WEF) Summit on the Global Agenda 2015 opened in the city on October 25 to discuss the most pressing issues.

The forum, which is set to attract more than a thousand leading research institutions, businesses and international organisations, will focus on nine global issues, including economic growth and social inclusion; international trade and investment; the future of the global financial system; and employment and food security.

The issues discussed at the forum will be key in deciding the agenda for the WEF’s Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, in January next year.

The summit, which runs till October 27, will be co-chaired by His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy of the UAE, as well as HE Ali Majed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi Airports Company Aand the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC).
