Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced its sponsorship of the “Young Merchant” initiative organized by the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) and the Ministry of Education under the patronage of HE the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al Mubarak Al Subah.
Zain took part in the “Young Merchant” awarding and conclusion ceremony that witnessed the presence of Secretary General of MGRP Fawzi Al Majdali and Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education at Ministry of Education Fahad Al Ghais, who presented the honoring token to Zain’s Human Resources Director Nawal Bourisli, who also took part in awarding the first-place winning school.
Zain’s support comes in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability strategies towards the education sector. The initiative aimed at encouraging the entrepreneurship spirit within middle school and high school students, and witnessed the participation of 350 students who participated in workshops and presented their ideas and projects to a judging panel.
