Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced the successful conclusion of “Health Week”, an annual internal initiative that was recently held at the company’s main headquarters. The weeklong event aimed at spreading general health awareness among Zain employees, who excitedly participated in the event’s activities.
Health Week’s rich program witnessed many health and sport activities with the aim to provide a healthy work environment and encourage Zain employees to undergo regular checkups. Many of Zain’s medical and health partners were also present to offer their exclusive promotions and services to the company’s employees.
During Health Week, Zain employees took part in a daily group walking activity, where they were encouraged to take a 30-minute walk alongside their colleagues within the company’s headquarters to refresh their bodies and get active. Employees were also encouraged to use their smartphones to set up a step counter app and count their daily steps and keep an eye on their daily progress. Additionally, several yoga sessions were held to help employees release work-stress and improve productivity.
The program also included several important medical checkups such as assessing blood pressure levels, blood sugar levels, complete blood count (CBC) levels, as well as BMI tests to ensure healthy body weights. Many doctors and specialists in several medical fields were also present to offer employees free medical consultations.
Health Week’s program not only focused on physical activities, but also included several informative seminars to provide Zain employees with health and medical tips. Seminars included “Fitness as a lifestyle” delivered by coach Ahmad Al Najjar and Dr. Ali Jadi, “Women’s Power: Physically and Mentally” delivered by coach Fatima Hussain and martial arts expert Maali Salmeen, and “Eating Healthy During Working Hours” delivered by dietitian Qout Al Mukhled.
