Emaar to meet with global bond investors

Dubai-based Emaar Properties has said it has hired banks to arrange meetings with fixed-income investors ahead of a planned bond sale, Bloomberg has reported. HSBC Holdings, Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Standard Chartered have been asked by the developer to arrange the meetings in Asia, the Gulf countries, and Europe, Emaar said. The company is focusing on recurring income from shopping-mall leases and hotel revenue rather than new projects, after property prices in Dubai fell by more than half since 2008.
