Qatar issues new laws for real estate agents

Qatar's Advisory Council has approved a draft law that aims to curb illegal practices and organise the real estate brokerage sector in the country, the Peninsula has reported. Under the new law, fines up to QR50,000 are to be imposed on any real estate agent operating without a valid licence. The renewable licence is to be issued for two years.
