Shareholders give Aldar Properties go ahead for $1.5bn bond

Shareholders of Abu Dhabi-based developer Aldar Properties have approved a $1.5bn bond, but Aldar's chief financial officer Shafqat Malik said there were no immediate plans to issue it, Reuters has reported. Shareholders also gave the go-ahead to place its planned issue of convertible bonds worth Dhs2.8bn ($762.3m) with government-owned investment fund Mubadala, the developer said.
