Dubai forms commission to attract film makers

The government of Dubai has decided to set up the Dubai Film and TV Commission with the aim to increase local production and attract international production in film and TV as outlined in the Dubai Strategy for 2015, Wam has reported. The new body will focus on promoting Dubai as a premier location for production through reducing the cost of making programmes in the emirate, including by developing an incentive scheme to attract the international market. The head of Dubai Studio City has been appointed as the chairman of the commission.
