Global online advertising set to exceed $100bn by 2016

According to a report by Digital TV Research, global online advertising revenue is predicted to reach $106.22bn in 2016, almost double the figure recorded in 2010. Growth will remain steady over the next five years, despite the impact of recession and economic uncertainty in key marketplaces, the report said. The US is predicted to remain the dominant territory for online advertising revenues, although it will see a marked decline in its share of online advertising revenues from 41% in 2010.
