Nestlé Middle East has awarded MEC Dubai, a WPP company and part of the Menacom Group in the region, the company's media buying, planning and digital engagement account, Campaign ME has reported. MEC Dubai's winning of the Nestlé account was followed shortly afterwards by MEC Abu Dhabi's bagging of the Summer In Abu Dhabi brief for the second time. MEC was created in 2002 from the merger of The Media Edge and CIA. MEC MENA, which is headquartered in The Gateway Building in Dubai Media City, has more than 220 employees covering 17 countries, and several specialist divisions, including MEC Interaction, MEC Access and Analytics and Insight.
