Mediaquest – the organiser of the MENA Effie Awards (Effies) – announced that the annual marketing and communications event will not take place in November 2020 as previously planned. The next edition of the Effies will run in 2021, the rules and eligibility for the next edition will be announced at a later stage.
Mediaquest took this difficult decision after careful consideration and extensive consultations with partners and stakeholders. As the impact from COVID-19 continues to be felt, this decision reflects the unprecedented societal, health and economic challenges currently facing the world, as well as Mediaquest’s desire to remove any uncertainty about the running of the awards.
