In its eighth edition, the MENA Effie Awards, celebrating marketing effectiveness by recognising “ideas that work”, was held in Dubai on Wednesday, celebrating the region’s top ideas and their executors.
Hosted by Mediaquest, AMEinfo’s parent company, the awards ceremony was held at The Pavilion, Armani Hotel, in Dubai.
Entries were judged across 23 categories, three of which were introduced newly this year: Healthcare Services, Seasonal Marketing and Branded Content. The three proved to be highly competitive, with two Gold awards presented in each of the latter two categories. (Meet last year’s judges here)

The MENA Effie Awards started in 2004, with a simple aim: to recognise excellence in marketing effectiveness and to promote the best marketing practices across all disciplines and categories among companies operating n the Middle East region.
