Launching tomorrow as part of the Dubai Food Festival 2015, filmgoers and foodies of all ages can get ready to tune into the Middle East’s first food-inspired film nights, Food & Film.
Fusing the longstanding link between food and storytelling by pairing foodie movies with the dishes upon which their plots are based, the Food & Film series will screen 11 free to view films at various outdoor locations throughout February. Tomorrow’s inaugural screening, American comedy drama, Chef, which highlights the adventures of Carl (Jon Favreau) as he becomes the fully fledged chef of his own food truck, will be shown at 7pm – 11pm at Jumeirah Lakes Towers Park. Viewers are set to look forward to an accompaniment of street food as served by the Festival’s convoy of homegrown and international food trucks.
Further Food & Film screenings include The Indian-inspired, The Hundred-Foot Journey (7pm – 11pm, 11 February, Beach Canteen) and Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon’s comedic, The Trip (7pm – 11pm, 18 February, Beach Canteen).
The Dubai Food Festival runs from 6 – 28 February 2015. All Dubai Food Festival ticketing, timing and programming information can be viewed on the Dubai Food Festival website at www.dubaifoodfestival.com.
