Yahoo looks to buy Interclick

Yahoo Inc. is set to buy online advertising firm Interclick Inc. for $270m, as it seeks to revive its ailing online advertising business, Reuters has reported. The acquisition will provide Yahoo with a firmer foothold in the market for non-guaranteed inventory ads for its own properties as well as third-party websites, said Stifel Nicolaus analyst Jordan Rohan. New York-based Interclick buys bulk-advertising space from larger players and resells them to its clients.
