Al Ain bans setting up new private schools in Schools' Zone

The municipality of Al Ain has imposed a ban on establishing new schools in Al Ain's Private Schools' Zone, saying traffic congestions is already a problem, Gulf News has reported. Schools in the area will also not be allowed to expand their existing capacities to absorb more students, said Eng. Dallair Abdul Kareem, traffic planning adviser to the civic body. However, the measure will not affect the schools' development projects to enhance recreational and educational facilities for the existing capacities, he said.
