BankMuscat reports 19% rise in net income

BankMuscat, Oman's biggest lender by market value, has posted a 19% increase in its full-year 2012 net profit, mainly due to higher interest income, Zawya Dow Jones has reported. Net income rose to OR139.2m ($361.9m) in 2012 from OR117.5m a year earlier, the lender said.
