Saudi Binladin Group has won an estimated Dhs1.1bn ($300m) design and build contract for an aquatic sports centre in Dubai, reported MEED. It will be used to host the World Swimming Championships in April 2010. The races will be held in a 10-lane, 25-metre pool. The event, which is held every two years, was held in Manchester in the UK in 2008.
