BLOM Bank registers 6.1% rise in nine-month profits

Lebanese lender Blom Bank has said its unaudited net profits for the first nine months of 2012 jumped by 6.1% to $250.68m, The Daily Star has reported. Total assets increased 5.21% to $24.37bn by the end of September 2012, compared with $1.2bn a year ago. Deposits increased 5.06% year-on-year to $21.32bn, while loans to customers climbed by 5.25% to $5.88bn, and total equity rose 6.25% to $2.1bn.
