Qatar's Hamad Medical Corp (HMC) has said the number of cancer cases treated at the HMC has increased by more than 50% during the past few years, the Peninsula has reported. "Patients are mostly above the age of 45 and main reasons to find more cases is increasing population, advanced diagnosis system and early screening," said Dr Salha Bujassoum, Medical Oncologist-Hematologist at the HMC. "Majority of these patients are directed by the Primary Health Care centres or private clinics after detecting a risk for breast cancer," Dr Bujassoum said.
