Burgan raises KD100m from bond issue

Kuwaiti lender Burgan Bank has said it has successfully completed a KD100m ($356m) lower tier II subordinated bond issue, as part of a strategy to diversify its investor base and provide financial flexibility to the bank. Kipco Asset Management Co (Kamco) and Watani Investment Co (NBK Capital) jointly managed the bond issuance. The proceeds of the bond will be used for further supporting the bank's capital, especially after acquiring EuroBank Tekfen.
