Demand set to outpace supply in Qatar's property market

Property consultancy firm Asteco has said Qatar's property market is fast narrowing its demand-supply gap, with demand set to erode the country's oversupply glut in the medium to long term, the Peninsula has reported. The Gulf country's property market has been considerably overhanging since 2009, but 2012 saw a 20% increase in terms of transaction volume and 35% in value terms, Jed Wolfe, managing director of Asteco Qatar, told the daily.
