Dubai to implement revised 'wind code' rules from 2013

The municipality of Dubai has said the revised Wind Code applying to the construction of any new building in Dubai is to be implemented from next year, Emirates 24-7 has reported. The code has been under development since 2009 and is currently in the final review stage. Although the code is still under review, its current draft is commented on for the adopted 'basic wind speed for design in conjunction with wind tunnel testing'.
