Emerson to build $25m technology centre at KFUPM

Saudi Arabia's King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) has signed a partnership agreement with US-based Emerson to create a technology and innovation centre at the university. The $25m Emerson Centre for Technology and Innovation at the Dhahran Techno Valley will train future technologists and innovation leaders, as well as provide services and support to the petroleum and minerals market sector in the kingdom, Emerson said. Dhahran Techno Valley was initiated by KFUPM in 2006 as an industrial research and development and technology nucleus, providing infrastructure and support services.
