Gems will not move Jumeirah College to new campus

Gems Education has said its British school in Dubai is not moving to a new campus as previously announced, The National has reported. Jumeirah College, which caters to more than 1,000 pupils aged between 11 and 18, will stay at its existing premises in Al Safa, the firm said. Gems, which had planned to move the school to a purpose-built three-storey building in Al Khail with capacity for 2,300 pupils, said that more than 87% of parents were against the decision, which prompted the firm to scrap the plan.
