HAAD bans dietary supplement

The Health Authority - Abu Dhabi (HAAD) has banned a herbal drug used as a dietary supplement and tonic after tests showed the presence of a chemical compound that is not approved clinically for humans, Gulf Today has reported. The drug, called Royal Honey Plus, was found to contain Sildenafil, which should only be prescribed by a specialised doctor, as it may lead to a sharp fall in blood pressure, HAAD said.
