HMC partners with IAEA to train radio physicists

Qatar's Hamad Medical Corp (HMC) has partnered with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to boost the skills of radio physicists in the region to reduce medical mistakes in cancer treatment, the Peninsula has reported. Under the partnership, some 20 medical professionals in radio therapy from Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan, Oman and the UAE attended a four-day training course in Doha, conducted by the National Centre for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) at HMC in collaboration with IAEA.
