HSBC Oman reports decline in nine-month income

HSBC Oman reports decline in nine-month income

HSBC Bank Oman has posted 4.2% decline in net profit for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2012, to OR10.57m, compared with net earnings of OR11.03m for the corresponding period of last year, Oman Daily Observer has reported. Net interest income, however, climbed 60% to OR26.69m this year, compared with OR16.68m for the same period in 2011. Other income improved to OR14.88m, compared with OR9.36m for the same period in 2011, the lender said.
