Iran develops non-allergenic milk

Iran's University of Isfahan has said its researchers have developed non-allergenic milk through modification of milk proteins, Mehr news has reported. "A research has been carried out to create mutated genes, and through physical and genetic modifications of the proteins, we developed non-allergenic milk to raise its daily consumption," said the project manager, Asghar Taheri. "According to scientific findings, 8% of world population suffers from cow milk allergy, especially children. This has been led to decrease in cow milk consumption in these families," he said.
