Iran says Sasol committed to investing in petchem sector

South African petrochemicals group Sasol has rejected media reports about divesting its stake in Iran's Arya Sasol Polymers Co, Fars news has reported. Last month, Sasol had said in a filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission that there was a possible risk that sanctions may be imposed on the company by the US, the European Union and the UN as a result of its investments in Iran. The firm has a 50% stake in Arya Sasol Polymer Co, a joint venture with Pars Petrochemical Co of Iran. The venture produces ethylene and polyethylene.
