Iranian coal mine collapses

Iran has said a coal mine has collapsed in the city of Tabas, leaving eight miners dead, AFP has reported. The collapse, which occurred due to a probable "explosion of accumulated dangerous gas," blocked the main entrance to the tunnel of the mine, which employed 40 workers, said Tabas governor Ahmad Talebian Moqadam.
