Iranian petchem exports surpass $7bn

Iran's National Petrochemical Co has said the country has exported some 9.9 million tonnes of petrochemicals, worth over $7bn, in the past seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (from March 20 to October 21, 2012), Mehr news has reported. China and countries in Western Europe are the main buyers of Iran's petrochemical exports, followed by countries in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, Africa, and Latin America, the company said.
