Jeddah shuts down medical facilities over violations

Health authorities in Jeddah have shut down temporarily 85 medical facilities in 2012 for serious violations, Arab News has reported. The facilities included 39 clinics, 36 pharmacies, four medical support centres and five wards in private hospitals in the period between November 26, 2011 and November 15 this year, said director of health affairs in Jeddah, Sami Badawood. One private hospital was closed down permanently, noted Badawood.
