NBK's Bahraini unit posts 31% increase in profit

The Bahraini unit of the National Bank of Kuwait has posted a 31% increase in net profits for the year of 2012 to $92m, compared with $70m in the previous year, Daily Tribune has reported. National Bank of Kuwait-Bahrain's total assets jumped 16% to $5.5bn at the end of 2012, while shareholders equity rose 16% year-on-year to $636m, the lender said.
