Oman's Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) is planning to set up an aviation school in Dakhiliyah governorate, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The Aviation School City will be implemented by a consortium of international and local Omani firms, including Oman Air which will have a 20% stake in the venture, with Oman Airports Management Co (OAMC) expected to acquire a 10% shareholding. The remaining 70% will be held by a major French aviation training institute, said Salim al Aufi, the chief executive of PACA.
