Qatar asks jewellery retailers to install CCTVs

Jewellery retailers in Qatar have been asked by the interior ministry to install surveillance cameras in their premises, as a year's time given to them to do this ends in April, the Peninsula has reported. The number of cameras to be installed in a jewellery shop will be specified by the ministry. According to regulations, CCTV cameras should remain switched on round-the-clock and be operated from a control room.
