Qatar plans to increase hospital beds to over 2,300 by 2014

The Qatari cabinet has said the number of hospital beds in the country is set to increase by about 60% over the next two years, the Peninsula has reported. Currently, there are 1,575 hospital beds which will be increased to 2,300 in two years, in addition to the 110-bed hospital for specialised care which is in the pipeline, the cabinet said.
