Qatar subsidizes flour

Qatar has decided to further subsidize the flour used in making Lebanese 'khubs', known as the common man's bread, reported The Peninsula. A 50-kg bag of wheat flour is being made available to the bakeries to make 'khubs' at QR28.80 from the earlier rate of QR36, reducing the price burden by as much as 20%. The decision by the Ministry of Finance will remain in force for a year to keep the prices of 'khubs' remain at QR1.
