Qatar to set up steel factory in Algeria

Qatar has signed a memorandum of understanding with Algeria for setting up a steel factory with production capacity of five million tonnes per annum, the Peninsula has reported. Under the terms of the agreement, the plant will produce two million tonnes during its first phase, at an estimated investment cost of $2bn.
