Ras Laffan opens utility facility

The Ras Laffan B Power and Water Plant has opened its second independent electricity and water production facility at Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLC), reported The Peninsula. Also known as QPower, its output will go up to full capacity at 1,025 MW and 60 MIGD of electricity and water respectively, an increase of 37% in the country's electricity output and almost 47% in the water output.
