Saudi Arabia awards SR1.9bn in contracts for Jeddah projects

The municipality of Jeddah has awarded more than SR1.9bn in contracts for different projects across the city, Saudi Gazette has reported. The deals included a contract to Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corp for two projects; bridge construction at the intersection of Palestine Street with Prince Miteb Street and Dallah Street, costing SR179.56m, and another bridge at the intersection of King Fahd Road with Industrial Institute (SR96.47m). Other major deals included a SR20.47m contract for maintenance of major streets in Makkah, a SR12.69m contract for operation and maintenance of tunnels and associated construction works in Makkah, and a SR9.93m contract for the development of Yanbu beaches in Madinah region.
