Saudi cabinet announces health projects

The Saudi cabinet has allocated a total of 4.5 million sq m of land for the establishment and expansion of a number of health facilities, Saudi Gazette has reported. Of the total, 300,000 sq m of land adjacent to King Faisal Hospital in Taif will be used to build a children's hospital and complete the remaining parts of a medical city. The projects also include the construction of a mental health hospital near Taif University, a 400-bed maternity and children's hospital in Jeddah, a 200-bed medical tower at the Jeddah Ophthalmology Hospital, and the expansion of King Fahd Hospital in Jeddah.
