Saudi government to build 5,000 housing units in Jeddah

The Saudi government has announced plans to build 5,000 housing units in Jeddah, which will be completed in three years as part of the Salman Bay Housing Project, Arab News has reported. The first phase of the project is estimated to cost more than SR1.5bn, said the municipal and rural affairs minister, Prince Mansour bin Miteb. The Salman Bay Housing Project will have 25,000 housing units in 1,250 residential buildings, 24 mosques, 14 schools, a hospital and two polyclinics, in addition to a Red Crescent station, a police station and other facilities.
