Saudi Shoura Council wants banks audited

The Saudi Shoura Council has said the General Auditing Bureau (GAB) needs to be allowed to verify the accounts of commercial banks having at least 25% state shares, Arab News has reported. "The meeting stressed the need to enable the bureau to audit accounts of banks in which the government has a share of not less than 25% in their capitals," the council said.
