Saudi watchdog seeking clarifications on 406 faltering projects

Saudi Arabia's Control and Investigation Board (CIB) has said it had so far uncovered 406 faltering public projects in the kingdom, Saudi Gazette has reported. The stalled projects belong to the ministries of education, municipal and rural affairs, social affairs, finance, Islamic affairs, water and electricity and health, and the General Establishment for Technical and Vocational Training, said the CIB. Each ministry will be required to justify to the committee the reasons for the delay of its projects, resulting in billions of riyals in extra costs to the government, it added.
