SocGen Lebanon unit increase capital by $325m

Lebanese lender Societe Generale de Banque au Liban has said it has raised capital by $325m, The Daily Star has reported. Existing shareholders raised $100m, or 30.8%, while an additional $100m was capitalised retained earnings. Another $125m, or 38.4% of the increase, came through the issuance of preferred shares, at an annual yield of 7%.
