Iranian Vice President announced that as many as 10 four- and five-star hotels will be opened across the country by April next year. "Three of the new hotels will be opened in the capital Tehran," Iran's Vice President Masoud Soltanifar was also quoted as saying by Tasnim News Agency. Soltanifar, who is also the head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, noted that there are currently 130 four- and five-star hotels in the country, adding that the figure should tripled as per Iran's 20-Year Economic Perspective by 2025. He emphasized that Iran's National Development Fund sets no limits on expansion of tourism sector in the country. "National Development Fund is open to financing tourism plans but the investors need to be familiar with the fund's regulations in order to be able to use its resources," he said.
