ADIA sees 14.5% growth in September passenger traffic

Abu Dhabi Airports Co (Adac) has announced passenger traffic through Abu Dhabi International Airport during the month of September 2012 climbed 14.5%, compared with the same month in 2011, with 1.2 million passengers passing through its facilities, Wam has reported. Aircraft movements also continued to steadily grow by 8.4% for the month of September, totalling 10,057 movements compared to the same period last year; this is mainly due to Etihad's new services and the flight frequency increase by airlines operating at the Capital's airport. In parallel, cargo volume recorded an increase of 24.9 % this month compared to the same month last year registering 48,525 tonnes.
