Air Arabia looking to expand fleet

Adel Abdullah Ali, the chief executive of Air Arabia has said the low-cost carrier is studying adding more narrow-body aircraft to its fleet, as the airline seeks a larger slice of the budget travel market in the Middle East, Bloomberg has reported. The company is looking at the Airbus A320neo, the Boeing Co 737 Max, as well as Bombardier Inc.'s C-Series, Ali told the news service. The airline is unlikely to make a decision on a purchase before next year, and the Sharjah-based airline has no plans for an announcement in time for the Dubai Air Show in November, he said.
