Blue Coat refutes claims it supplied tech to 'embargoed' nations

US-based Blue Coat Systems has rejected claims it sold its traffic monitoring products to countries embargoed by the US including Iran, Sudan, and Syria, SC Magazine has reported. "When we become aware of such allegations, we review the source information to determine whether it provides new information about the presence of our products in embargoed countries," the firm said. Last week, the University of Toronto's Citizen Lab claimed that Blue Coat's tools were used in these countries to target journalists and dissidents.
